What is Source?

A source is each page an answer engine retrieved and used to write its response. It's the set of sources, not whatever the model has memorized, that decides which brands end up named in an answer built with active search. That's why the useful work comes down to two things: showing up on the pages that are already sources in your category, like comparisons, listicles, and press coverage, and getting your own site to become one of them.
