What is Structured data?
Structured data is markup added to a page to tell a machine what each piece means: this is a price, this is a business hour, this is a question with its answer. Without it, a program has to guess from the text and sometimes gets it wrong. The common vocabulary is Schema.org, and the recommended format is JSON-LD, a block of code placed in the HTML that changes nothing a visitor sees. It's the cheapest way to avoid being misread.
