What is llms.txt?
llms.txt is a text file meant to sit at the root of a website, written in markdown, that summarizes what the site is about and links to its important pages so an AI can orient itself without crawling the whole thing. Worth saying plainly: it's a community proposal, not an agreed standard, and none of the major AI companies has publicly committed to reading it. Adding one costs little and doesn't hurt, but nobody can promise it changes anything.
